This web site is (mostly) devoted to the birds that spend time on a short section of River Road between Potsdam and Norwood, New York. But what does the river itself (and the surrounding land look like? Here are some views. The very last picture in this album was taken using my cell phone (a Blackberry circa 2002) from the top of the hill that is at the southern end of the section of River Road that is highlighted in blue on the map on the home page. That picture was "Pic of the day" for NCPR at the time!
