Gray Catbird
The gray catbird can be found along most of River Road, in the dense growth all the way from Where the Catbirds Sing to the top of the Hill at the south end of this stretch of the road (see map). Actually, you are more likely to hear a catbird than see one because they like the denser growth. They are easier to see in spring before all the leaves are fully out.
Catbirds have a range of sounds (it is too generous to call them "songs"). One of those sounds is, of course, the mewling that is vaguely reminiscent of a cat (hence the name). You are just as likely to hear them making other sounds that are nothing like that mewling.
